Am I Skinny Yet?

Hello and Welcome!

I created this card for our hardworking Jazzercise leader, Kathleen. As we use the big blue exercise balls, this stamps set by Art Impressions is perfect!

I started by stamping this hilarious image by Art Impressions from their Skinny Yet set and coloring it with Zig Clean Color markers. Glossy Accents was added to the ball and the image was fussy cut. It is attached to the background with an Action Wobbler.

The background was created using the package technique with yellow and orange Distress inks.

Keeping PowderPuff Chalking Inks Organized

Hello and welcome!

Today I'm creating with PowderPuff Chalking Inks and showing you how easy it is to keep these inks organized!

I LOVE PowderPuff Chalking Inks! They come in amazing colors. Did you know that you can download our ink swatch sheets for free? You can link to them here.

The two-sided Quick Quotes' PowderPuff Ink Storage Case keeps 24 of my inks organized and within easy reach. I arrange my them in rainbow order and, with the see-through front, I can find the ink I want instantly. The case is also high quality, with reinforced stitching to keep the inks secure. I love being able to just grab them all and go to a crop.

PowderPuff Chalking Inks are so versatile. You can stamp, blend, paint and, of course, edge with them. For this card, I stamped using Quick Quotes' new 2018 ink colors! Don't you love the tropical feel?

To add depth I stamped each flower twice (with a MISTI) using different colors of ink -  Tropical Punch and Island Orange, Bermuda and Key Largo, and the leaves in Key Largo and Green Leaf. I also used Quick Quotes new Spring Showers paper collection, edged with Key Largo PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

QUICK QUOTES PRODUCTS:
PowderPuff Chalking Inks: Bermuda, Key Largo, Tropical Punch, Island Orange, Green Leaf

Have a Norse Day

Hello and Welcome!

Some stamps just burst with personality. That is how I feel about The Cat's Pajamas images. Check out this fun one:

My adult son does a Youtube stream on Tuesday nights with his Dungeons & Dragons group. He has a pretty good following. So I thought this card would be perfect for him.

The background was created on white paper using Quick Quotes PowderPuff Chalking inks, Versafine black ink and white acrylic paint. I love making these cosmic backgrounds, they always look so amazing. The long-eared bunny is from The Cat's Pajamas' "Bunnies In Fight" set and is colored with Zig Clean Color markers and popped up. The "Hello There" sentiment is a CutUp die also by The Cat's PJs.

Fun At The Fair

Hello and Welcome!

As it is snowy, blowy nasty winter day, I thought it would be a good day to scrap and relive some of the fun times we had last summer. Here is a layout of our visit to the Minnesota State Fair. It was one of the first times we went without kids!

I love this selfie Jeff took of us by the Ferris Wheel. He is so much better taking selfies than I am - it's probably those long arms of his. Maggie Holmes' "Carousel" paper along with Simple Stories "So Rad" collection worked well to highlight the photo. Scrapbook Customs stickers added the perfect embellishments.

The banner flags are die cuts by My Favorite Things. This page is based on a sketch by Sketch N Scrap.

We Love Jazz Layout

Hello and Welcome!

One of our favorite concerts is Dave Koz at the Zoo. We love the smooth jazz music and he put on a great show. Plus you can't beat the open-air venue surrounded by wild animals! Jeff and I have been going to the Koz concerts for over 20 years and this year we brought our son, Aaron, along.

I used My Mind's Eye "Blush" papers as it has an arty night club feel to it. The musical NOTES are die cuts by Paper Smooches. The fabulous sax is a die cut by Cheery Lynn.

The great swirls are die cuts by The Cat's Pajamas. And the title letters are die cuts by Little B and painted with copper Inka Gold. This page is based on a sketch by Stuck?! Sketches.

The Jason Show

Hello and Welcome!

Oh yea, this is us and we are on live TV!

Our local FOX TV station is in our home town and The Jason Show is shot there live most weekdays. So we decided to give it a try. It was a lot of fun cheering, laughing and hamming it up for the camera. And here we are:

I remembered an older line by October Afternoon called Saturday Mornings which was all about vintage TVs and thought it was perfect for this page.

As I did not have the matching embellishments, I fussy cut several kids for the background and added them.

The stars are die cuts by Simon Says Stamps (Large Holiday Shapes) and cut from glitter paper. This layout is based on a sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

Fun, Romantic Frame with Quick Quotes

Hello and Welcome!

Today I have a fun and easy project for you to try.

My son, Tyler, and his girlfriend, Shara, joined us on an adventure to Cannon Falls this weekend. I snapped this cute photo of them outside the winery and thought, with Valentine's Days coming up, they would enjoy a handmade framed picture.

I started by printing mini photos with my Canon Selphy photo printer. The "kids" were amazed at how fast I was able to get this picture printed.

The frame came together super easy, as most of pieces were precut and ready to assemble from Quick Quotes' January Club Q kit. I only had to add the title and inks from my stash.

I edged the papers, frame and embellishments with Bermuda and Rose Petal PowderPuff Chalking inks for depth and interest.

To finish things off, I added a happy title and backed the frame with white paper with the date.

Quick Quotes Products:
 January Club Q
PowerPuff Chalking Inks: Rose Petal and Bermuda *new*

Canon Products:
Selphy CP1200 Wireless Compact Photo Printer
 Selphy High-Capacity Color Ink/Paper Set

Other materials:

Hello and Welcome!

Whenever we want to celebrate, we head to Yo-Yo Doughnut and Ice Cream Shop. We have enjoyed watching Rosie, the manager, grow this business. Plus the goodies are awesome!

The hearts & doughnut pattern paper for this page is by Doodlebug. The "love" diecut in the title is by Winnie & Walter, as is the "staycation" stamp (from W&W's The Big, The Bold and The Fun set). This page is based on a sketch by Rochelle Spears and includes 4 gold embellishments. This page also includes 4 doughnuts.
