Hello Spring

Hello and welcome!

I am a huge fan of Laura Bassen and her fabulous blog If you ever need creative inspiration and a good laugh, she is your gal. This week she did an amazing technique video with colored Oxide Inks, kraft cardstock and white ink on the Simon Says Stamp blog that blew my mind! You can link to it here. That post was the inspiration for this card:

I started with kraft cardstock and blended Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Oxide Inks. Next, Simon Says Stamps' Bouquet Of Roses stencil was overlayed and Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink was pounced on with a blending sponge. Simon Says Stamps' Hello die cut was added along with a few gems. It was surprisingly easy and the results are stunning!

  1. No kidding Laura is a great place for inspiration. I don't know that I've ever tried this technique. TFS. Your bouquet is beautiful.

  2. Hi June! Simon is waiting for a response from you over in your Flickr messages. You were one of the winners of their recent Flickr challenge! Love this card!
