Hello and welcome!

I loved how this project turned out so much, it is now next to my coffee pot!

The wreath was created with Altenew's Wonderful Wreath Stencil blended with Distress Inks. The stamps are Altenew's Coffee With A Splash.

    Hope You're Ok

    Hello and welcome!

I am missing my girlfriends a lot right now and thought it would be good to check up on them. Here is a card for one of them:

The little girl image is from SugarPea Design's Take Note stamp set. I masked off her notebook and replaced it with a coffee cup. The sentiments are Simon Says Stamps' Messages For Everyday.

    Lord Give Me Coffee

    Hello and welcome!

Things are really stressful here in Minnesota right now. To keep my sanity and to put a little kindness back into the world, I decided to make a few cards to send to my girlfriends. Here is one:

The yoga girl image is from Simon Says Stamps' Work Out set and was painted with watercolor markers. The sentiment is by Rubbernecker. The pattern paper is Plus One by Amy Tan.

    Wahoo! Zip Lining!

    Hello and welcome!

One of the highlights of our Alaskan trip for Jeff & Aaron was zip lining through the tree tops at Icy Straight Point. (I did not participate as I am afraid of heights, but not these guys!) Here are some fun photos Jeff took of their day:

This page is based on a sketch from Sketch N Scrap. The chipboard and circle embellishments, as well as the papers, are by Cloud 9.

    My Favorite Perk

    Hello and welcome!

When I saw this girlfriends stamp it reminded me of my friend, Sue. We have been sharing coffee dates since our boys were in First Grade - they are now in college!  Although we cannot get together in person right now with the pandemic, we can share a cup indirectly with this card:

The fun girlfriends stamps, called Coffee BFFs, are by Art Impressions.  The images were colored with watercolor markers. The pattern papers are by Dare 2 Be Artzy.

This clever coffee cup/gift card holder die cut is also by Art Impressions.

    Icy Point layout

    Hello and welcome!

Last June we went on a vacation to Alaska. Our first stop with the cruise ship was Icy Point. We were greet by this cute security pup, saw bald eagles, zip lined and explored the town of Hoonah.

This page used pattern paper by Carte Bella. The wooden trees were recycled from an old home decor piece. The layout is based on a sketch from the Scrap Our Stash blog.

    Quarantine Card

    Hello and welcome!

I must admit this COVID-19 quarantine is starting to get to my family.  But leave it to tonight's hero, Alma, owner/designer of The Cat's Pajamas, to make us laugh with her newest quarantine digis, and forget we are at our wits end. This card is dedicated to you Alma! Thanks for making us all laugh when we really needed it!

This card was created with the humorous free downloadable digis from The Cat's Pajamas (but I did add the tiny coffee cup). The pattern paper is by Amy Tan. The card design is based on a sketch by Sketch N Scrap. And, yes, that is real toilet paper that I recycled from the end of the roll! (Thanks to Nancy at TCP for this great idea.)

Another fun thing about this card is that it a gate fold card and opens from the center.

    Mother's Day Layout

    Hello and welcome!

Mother's Day was at home this year due to the pandemic, but I prefer it that way. It was particularly fun as Tyler and Shara came over with their new puppy, Luna. She is adorable! We had steaks on the grill and a wonderful homemade blueberry filled layer cake. Thank you, Jeff!

This page was created with papers and embellishments from Graphic 45. I was inspired by Yulia Kuznetsova's Youtube process video.

    @Cup Of Thanks

    Hello and welcome!

So many wonderful people around us going above and beyond to help us all get through this crazy time! I am trying to encourage them with thank you cards. Here is one of my latest creations:

The background was created with red, yellow and blue Distress Inks blended together in a circular pattern with a Brutus Monroe circle stencil to create a rainbow. The stamps are Paper Smooches' Cyber Cafe and are highlighted with Sakura Souffle Gel Pens.

    Warm Hugs

    Hello and welcome!

I am having so much fun crafting today! For this card I used blue glitter paste!

The cute bear is from My Favorite Things' Bitty Bears set. The tiny coffee cup and sentiment are from MFT's Sweater Weather In The Woods set. I bought this Bobunny blue glitter paste years ago and decided it was time to use it.

Just Saying Hello with small stamps

    Hello and welcome!

May is my favorite month for crafting, May 2nd was International Scrapbook Day, and today is the first day of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop! Here is my first entry:

I used several small stamps from Hero Arts including the tiny "hello" from their Classic Messages set, which worked perfectly with the sentiment from Hero Art's Everyday Sayings set. It was also fun creating the rainbow background with Distress Oxide Inks.

    Riding The Rails

    Hello and welcome!

Last year we were lucky enough to travel to Alaska. Jeff arranged the whole trip and surprised us with an amazing train ride from Anchorage to Seward where we were to catch our cruise ship. The train ride was gorgeous and we saw waterfalls, eagles, mountains and miles of untouched wilderness.

All of the pretty chipboard leaves are by Creative Embellishments. The clocks and large date numbers were inspired by Creative Embellishment's mood board. This page is based on the May 2, 2020 sketch by Lisa Hidy from the Sketch N Scrap blog. I added a third photo.

    Alaskan Falls Page

    Hello and welcome!

One of our adventures in Girdwood, Alaska was climbing up along this waterfall. The views were amazing. But, it got really exciting when I ventured off the path, trying to get a "great shot," and almost fell over the edge! I caught myself, but the camera fell down the embankment. My husband, knowing how much that camera means to me, somehow shimmied down the cliff and got it for me. He was and is my every day hero!

I was inspired for this page by Anna Komenda's video on the Pinkfresh Studio blog. She has so many great tips, from watercoloring die cuts to how to create the recessed grid circle! You can check it out here. The pattern paper and title letter stickers are from Pinkfresh's Life Noted collection. The fun flowers and birds are Pinkfresh's Folk Elements die cuts and are colored with their watercolors.

    Balbo Park Page 2

    Hello and welcome!

There were so many interesting photos from our visit to Balboa Park, I had to make a second page! Here are some more of the highlights from this amazing place:

This page uses mostly Pinkfresh Studio products. The pattern papers are from their Indigo Hill 2 line. I used watercolors to create violet mats for the all the photos. The cut file is one from Pinkfresh's freebies on their facebook fan page. Watercolors were also used to make the colorful cut file leaves and to add splatters. Pinkfresh Studio Crystals were added for a bit of sparkle.

    Balboa Park Page

    Hello and welcome!

Jeff and I were lucky enough to have gone on vacation to San Diego just before the country shut down. One of the places we stopped at was Balboa Park. It is an amazing place with stunning architecture ringing a beautiful park. People were everywhere and doing all kinds of things, like selling balloons, roller skating, cultural dancing and even getting married! It was facinating.

    Hello and welcome!

Mother's Day is coming up fast and it is time to get those cards done! Here is a fun one:
