Happy Fall!

Hello and Welcome!

The big maple tree in front of our house is starting to turn glorious shades of red, a sure sign that fall is upon us. Here is a fun card I created to celebrate the coming of autumn:

I used Gerda Steiner's adorable little mouse image and colored it with Copic markers. The beautiful pattern papers are a sneak peek of Quick Quotes new designs for October (the "Sonata" line, part of their October Club Q kit) and edged with Peach Tree PowderPuff Chalking ink. I also used metal leaves from my stash. This card is based on a sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

Lots of Photos with One Layout

Hello and Welcome! Today I am up on the Quick Quotes blog.

With it being the beginning of fall, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with the stacks of summer photos needing to be scrapped. So it was my Canon Selphy CP1200 printer and Quick Quotes Whistlin' Dixie collection to the rescue!

Check out this layout with our entire week of vacation done on one page!

I used the Canon Selphy mini-print feature (a tutorial can be found here) to make a bunch of mini prints, trimmed them and adhered them to white cardstock.

I decorated the rest of the page using Whistin' Dixie pattern papers edging them with Sky Blue and Coal Miner PowderPuff Chalking inks.

QUICK QUOTES PRODUCTS:
Whistin' Dixie 100, 102, 106 & 500
PowderPuff Chalking inks - Sky Blue and Coal Miner

CANON PRODUCTS:

Other Products:

Border Punch (Fiskars)

Phew! Now that these photos are scrapped, it is on to autumn. With a very active high school student and all the fun fall events here in Minnesota, it is a good thing I have my Canon Selphy and Quick Quotes!

Solar Eclipse Layout

Hello and Welcome!
Today I am bringing you a fun layout about our experience of the recent solar eclipse.

I used Elle's Studio's new Family Fun collection along with their FREE solar eclipse printables. I thought the colors and circle paper worked well with these photos. The white acrylic stars and wood embellishments are also by Elle's Studio. It was also fun incorporating the solar glasses and an overlay on the sun photo.

I am up on the Scrap Our Stash blog today. Their sketch was perfect for these photos with the angled design and background circle!

For the word challenge I used:
L - Letter stickers
E - Elle's Studio, Ephemera
A - Acrylic stars, arrow
R - Ribbon
N - Netting

Autumn Blessings card

Hello and Welcome!

Happy first day of Fall! To celebrate, I created this cute owl card.

I used Pink & Main's Happy Fall stamp set to make the owl, which was colored with Zig Clean Color markers, had Glossy Accents added to his eyes and fussy cut. I also fussy cut around his wings and slipped in a coffee cup. All of the pattern paper is from Pink & Main's Shades Of Spring collection.

The background is Simon Says Stamps' Birch Tree Window die cut popped up with 3L's Foam Square and shiny, with coffee colored sequins added. This card was also inspired by Kelly Latevola's video (on Simon Says Stamp blog) on creating shaker cards.  The sentiment is Verve's Coffee Helps stamp set. The ribbon and tag are highlighted with gold foil.

Let's Meet Coffee Card

Hello and Welcome!

My friend, Sue, and I meet often for coffee, so I thought this would be a fun card to send her.

This card was created using 2 different flower sets by Papertrey Ink - Flower Fusion (flowers) and Delightful Dahlias (leaves) - colored with Zig Clean Color markers. The coffee cup and sentiment are from Papertrey's Heart 2 Heart stamp set.

I added shine with Nuvo Jewel Drops. The stamped panel was cut with Simon Says Stamp's Stitched Rectangle die and "popped up" with 3L foam squares.

Coffee & Warm Hugs

Hello and Welcome!

I am so excited to be joining the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop and using my new Altenew products!

To create the beautiful layered rose, I used Altenew's Fantasy Floral die cut from their Reflections Scrapbooking pattern paper. To add more contrast and depth, pink ink was blended on the die cuts. The sentiment was created from Altenew's Inline Alpha Die and Heartfelt Setiments stamp sets.

All Smiles with Quick Quotes and Coffee Lovers!

Hello and Welcome!

I am up on the Quick Quotes blog today which is participating in the fabulous Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. Have you seen all the fun, fall, coffee themed projects

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year as Mother Nature brings in such beautiful colors and the weather is wonderful. I used Quick Quotes' Whistlin' Dixie collection along with our coffee colored PowderPuff Chalking inks to create this card:

  • The background was created using Whistlin' Dixie 107 (yellow) with Sunset and Mocha Mama PowderPuff inks and a stencil.

  • The Cat's Pajama's leaves die cuts were cut from Whistin' Dixie 100 and edged with Seafoam and Mocha Mama PowderPuff inks. Check out the big difference the inks make!

  • The Paper Smooches Cozy Coffee cup was die cut from Windsong 103 and edged with Latte PowderPuff ink. The "lid" was ink blended with Mocha Mama PowderPuff ink.
  • The "Delight In The Day" sentiment is from Whistlin' Dixie 500 cut apart quotes sheet. As it was bright white, I toned it down rubbing Latte PowderPuff ink on it. The "All Smiles" chipboard is from the Earth Wind Fire collection.

  • To finish off this card, twine and yellow jewel drops were added.

Quick Quotes Products:
Whistin' Dixie 100, 107, 500
Windsong Collection
Earth Wind Fire chipboard die cuts
PowderPuff Chalking Ink: Seafoam, Sunset, Mocha Mama, Latte

Other Products:
The Cat's Pajamas leave die cuts
Paper Smooches Cozy Coffee die cut
Tim Holtz Sun Ray stencil

Lunch & Go Layout

Hello and Welcome!

I admit it, I've gotten addicted to Pokemon Go. What can I say, it makes me happy and I'm getting outside a lot more. Plus, as my husband is a bit addicted too, we now have "GO" lunches together about once a week. Here is a layout about our picnics in the parks:

When I saw the great spotted paper by Photo Play, I thought it would make a great Pokemon page. So I turned the spots into Pokeballs. I also used Simple Stories pattern papers.

For the embellishment clusters I used several dies by Poppy Stamps including Stitched Bloom Trio, Elsa Butterfly and Small Leafy Sprig. This page is based on a sketch at Stuck?! sketches.
