I loved MFT "Camp Create" Counselor Stephanie's video about double inlaid diecutting. So I gave it a try and here is my card:
Yep, this is a one layer card. It was a little tricky, but I followed Stephanie's tips. I used My Favorite Things Sun Ray Die-namics and Jumbo Cloud Stax. The smaller cloud was cut from the back to get a reverse orientation. I created the sky paper with several blue Distress inks. The yellow is glitter paper by DCWV. The sun rays are a copper foiled paper. The is sentiment is by WPlus9. I finished off this card with Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins.
This was a really fun technique and I love the results!
This card is entered in:
- The July Diva Inspirations Challenge at Verve Stamps - the lamps in the inspiration photo remind me of inlay
- The Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge - I hand colored the blue sky paper
- My Favorite Things "Camp Create - Inlaid Made Easy"
Think about giving the inlaid technique a try.
