I wanted to combine the techniques I am learning at the Online Card class Heat Wave with Papertrey Ink's challenge of Create Along With Us. I chose Maile Belles's pretty Best Wishes card from July 11th for inspiration. I loved how she stamped in color then popped the sentiment out with black. Here is my take on her card:
I used Papertrey Ink's Delightful Dahlias stamps. I stamped the colorful "happy" with Simon Says Stamp's dye inks. The stamped the center "happy birthday" was made with Versafine black and Ranger Clear Embossing powder. I also stamped, embossed and fussy cut the leaves. I finished this card with a few black gems.

Your card turned out beautifully! I love the way you created a pattern with the Happy Birthday sentiments and how it's colorful, but still sophisticated. The black grounds it perfectly and I thought it was so clever of you to repeat the leaf image in the upper left corner. Great work on this and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
